Haiti –

The first and most important part of this post, if you have a pound or ten-thousand pound spare on your debit or credit card, go to http://www.dec.org.uk/ now, and forget about reading the rest of this.

Now, I am hopefully left with no readers, Climate Change, look at the devastation that has hit Haiti, the power of nature, each and every day, the sun shines somewhere, the wind blows and the tides move, now I am not claiming Natural Disasters don’t happen, nor am I saying global warming was involved in this, but if green sustainability energy can help our enviroment, and reduce our bills, surely it is worth doing.

Haiti, as a country was in trouble before this natural event occurred, just like Aceh District in Sumatra, five years ago with the Tsunami. I know the priority is to get shelter but look at the fantastic reconstruction work done out there over the pass five years, surely with no much more effort some for of Solar Water Heating, Solar or Wind Electricity could have been installed.

We have to understand that without technology transfer without real effort on our part, with all the good will in the world, there is not really much point in becoming a zero emissions country if others on the One Earth under One Sun and Moon are not.

Read a great report prepared by ARUP, a truly world renown consulting engineering company which can be found on their website www.arup.com , one can only hope their expertise is brought into play this time.
